Eshu is a correct, typey dog. He is moderate in bone and coat with natural rose ears. His color is clear and rich and his attitude is all Aussie! Breeders LeeAnn Martin and Debbie Pollard did an excellent job!

Eshu's charismatic personality and high-drive enthusiasm get him noticed wherever we go - even by the "border collie folks"!

24 month old Eshu
There are few dogs than can keep up with Eshu's ground-covering trot - he can do this all day! Eshu has an intense gaze that never misses anything.
Stunning young dog
Eshu is a retrieving and tugging fool as well as a water hound. He loves to dock dive, herd sheep, do agility, and play flyball...in fact there's nothing this dog won't do, including duck hunting and protection dog work!

We are always working on self-control with Eshu, like start line stays in agility and maintaining his 4-footed turn in flyball. He is a fast dog, who runs low-4s in flyball and up to 8.7yps in jumpers in agility.

Eshu is a fun dog to train and handle, although he demands perfection from his human. I handle Eshu in agility and his co-breeder, Debbie Pollard (Herding 4 Ewe), in herding (which says alot about his drive to work stock, because Eshu won't do anything for anyone else but me!).

He is a multiple High in Trial herding dog and was awarded Most Promising Started in July 2007. After one of the high in trial wins, the judge declared about Eshu that he was one of the best rating stock dogs she had ever seen!

Eshu has a lot of natural stock sense and talent, but he is very hard (headed) on stock and, like other aspects of his life he will try to take over and take charge.

Eshu has recently started rally obedience training and he's excelling! We're having so much fun together. Like everything, Eshu brings a lot of enthusiasm to obedience and he's excited, but, the advantage is, I can drill over and over to get the right position and Eshu is just as eager the 10th time as he was the first. He's a great dog to train!

I hope that Eshu and I will get to more trials in obedience and rally in 2009. But, with agility, flyball, and herding, Eshu's schedule is very busy!

Eshu also enjoys lure coursing - if there was an extreme dog - it'd be Eshu!
Eshu and I are continuing obedience and are really enjoying ourselves - thanks to instructor Sally Kirn! Eshu entered his first AKC obedience trial 1 week after I got out of the hospital for pancreatitus/gallbladder removal and, without practice, he qualified with a 194.5 and 3rd place!

Eshu and I also headed to the ASCA Nationals 1 week later, where he qualifed with a 4th place in a pre-show and tied for 4th in the Nationals! Eshu also qualifed in boths jumpers and one gamblers round. What a good dog, especially considering my mobility was so limited!

November 2008 in Calico, CA. 5 years old.
