| My sister, Nancy, accompanied me on a trip to Debbie Pollard's house (Dream On Aussies) so I could photograph the puppies (above right). Nancy fell in love with the only male in the litter.
Muhammad "Ali" has proven to be the perfect dog for Nancy and her husband, Darryl. Ali is training for agility and may debut in the altered conformation ring in the Fall of '08.
Ali is maturing into a nice dog...smart, easy to train, and with good amount of drive. But, he excels on stock. He balances, changes direction and can keep even uncooperative sheep grouped together. He'll be fun to train!

Hard to believe it's been a year and a half already - my time flies! Ali is maturing into a lovely dog. He reminds me a lot of Eshu, but a little calmer. He loves my sister dearly, but he'll still work for others - it's a nice combination.
So far, there is nothing that Ali won't do. He loves agility, herding, and even lure coursing! I am also hoping to talk my sister into letting him do obedience and flyball...she's agreed to obedience, but I dunno if she's crazy enough for flyball.

Ali entered his first herding trial August 2008 and easily earned his "Pre-Trial Test" title (or PT). The judge on Sunday, Bob Dias, said Ali has a "delightful personality". Ali was fun to watch as he and Debbie Pollard successfully completed the course. Thank you, Debbie! Watch Ali debut in MVA competition in Vegas! |
